Alkaline Limeade Your Kids Will Love

Sometimes it's all much easier than you think- yes, serving your kids, guests or yourself a quick alkaline refreshment can be easy if you only have these 2 ingredients on hand: (key) limes and agave syrup. If you cannot find key limes in your area (check your local farmers market, or even Walmart carries them 99% of the time), limes will do just fine. After all, limes are high in ascorbic acid and contain iron, copper, zinc, folate, potassium and more to nourish and regenerate the human body. Limes' alkalizing properties have been associated to help against inflammatory dis-eases such as rheumatism, sciatica, arthritis and more.

Other reported benefits have been improvements in:

- immunity
- diabetes 2 patients
- iron absorption
- regulates digestion
- skin health & appearance
- heart disease protection
- delivery of antioxidants, thus protecting your cells from free radicals damage.

For the limeade I use about 13-15 key limes, juice squeezed out well and just add agave syrup to my liking. Use 1 gallon of spring water to make this nourishing and refreshing beverage.  Agave syrup scores low on the glycemic index at only 17, making this a tasty option for diabetics as well.  This limeade has quickly become a family favorite and is so refreshing and quick to make!

Aaaannnd you can always pour some into ice pop molds and freeze for a no-mama-guilt, cold sweet treat for your kids! Whoohoo!
